ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Lineages of the Scent Priestess is a year 1 course in a multi-year offering held within the Rosa Mystica Mystery School–home of the Scent Priestess.
In this mystery school, we honor ourselves as devotional, ecstatic priestesses and daughters of the Goddess, embodying service as the path of love.
We deepen our capacity to embody love and provide transformation by offering the laying on of hands through anointing with sacred oils—blessing ourselves, our beloveds, our families, our communities, and our beautiful, aching planet. We know that anointing is an act of blessing and consecration, a kiss of spirit on the body.
Some important things to know:
After the completion of year one, there’s opportunities for advanced electives … including certification and ordination.

- This is an online training & initiation into the Scent Priestess with the Magdalene as our guide
- We begin in January & end in December each year
- Enrollment opens & closes in November
- All first year initiates are placed with a mentor–a senior priestess (Anam Cara) who has been initiated many times in the temple; they receive extra support & mentorship, including live mentorship each month & a special WhatsApp group just for their circle

For thousands of years before Biblical times, in the great cultures of Sumer, Babylon, Canaan, and Egypt, temples were the core of communities. Women went to the temples to be trained by priestesses and be in service to their communities.
Many were trained as Scent Priestesses. They learned that anointing is a vibrational healing of aromatic traditions, combined with self-blessing and intuitive awakening through the use of holy oils.
Holy oils have been used as a sacred practice for spiritual union, sanctifying rites of passage, and found in all ancient civilizations and cultures.

Mary Magdalene is the most recent historical touch-point we have for anointing. Without question, She was a Scent Priestess and without her, it’s possible this sacred art could’ve been broken.
While she is a historical figure, she is also a collective archetype. As an archetype, The Magdalene represents the bold, vulnerable, sensual, mystical, erotically alive woman.
